Welcome to the Stuttgart Prenatal Centre!

Dear parents to be,

in our DEGUM Stage III centre for prenatal diagnosis (DEGUM = German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine, www.degum.de), we specialise in ultrasound examinations and other advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures during pregnancy including:

In most cases, the results of prenatal diagnostic examinations are normal and can allay fears and set expectant parents' minds at rest. If abnormal findings occur, these can be further clarified as appropriate in close cooperation with experts in related fields (e.g., genetics, neonatal medicine, pediatric cardiology, pediatric radiology, and pediatric surgery), and necessary treatment initiated.

We offer competent advice and treatment, using the latest medical equipment (high-end ultrasound systems by GE and Philips) and place particular emphasis on individual care in a pleasant atmosphere.

In this overview, we would like to provide you with information about important aspects of prenatal examinations which go beyond the scope of standard pregnancy care. We would be delighted to answer any remaining questions with you personally.

We look forward to your visit.

Important information on protection against infections!

Pregnant women and their unborn children are exposed to above-average and specific risks with sometimes far-reaching consequences due to infectious diseases.

For this reason, special hygiene measures are necessary in our practice, where only pregnant women are treated.

We make every effort to minimise the risk of infection for our pregnant patients and medical staff.

Thanks to our extensive hygiene measures, you can therefore feel comfortable and safe in the practice.

We ask for your understanding for the necessary measures to minimise risk:

  • No access for persons suffering from infectious diseases (e.g. flu-like infection, cough, fever).

  • No access for people who have had contact with people who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the last 14 days or who have tested positive themselves.

  • Pregnant women may be accompanied by an adult. The above conditions regarding the state of health and contact status also apply to the accompanying person.

  • Recommendation to wear an FFP2 mask or a medical (surgical) mask depending on the individual and current risk situation (e.g. flu epidemic, rising SARS-CoV-2 infection figures).

In the interests of your own health and the health of your unborn child, we ask for your understanding for these necessary precautionary measures.

After the examination, you will receive some images of the ultrasound examination in digital form free of charge, which you can call up securely on your mobile phone and make available to your relatives directly if necessary.

If in doubt, please contact us by e-mail or by telephone on

0711 78 27 993 or 0157 80 63 26 93.

Thank you for your understanding!
